What an outstanding experience we had there. My wife and I are both new to running. We looked online for information on running shoes, but reviews were conflicting. The guys at the Running Store took their time explaining everything we need to know.
Last time I bought something in a store was five years ago. I buy everything online including some groceries. Today I was in this shop, no regrets to get out and talking to real people, help a small business in our neighborhood. Theresa was a great salesperson, great attitude and convincing. I bought a pair of Nike Air Zoom, same price online, with people to people experience. It's nice to get out sometimes, there's some good people out there ;)
I highly recommend this place, not just for runners, but for anyone looking for a comfortable footwear setup.
Fast, friendly and knowlegable. Highly recommended. Fighting plantar fascists and my pain greatly reduced this same day.
I've never in my entire life shopped in a store that doesn't accept returns! After a fantastic experience with the sales associate finding comfortable shoes, I got home and changed my mind. Who hasn't? I have gigantic feet and am self concious-- I just couldn't bring myself to wear neon pink and blue shoes, no matter how comfortable. I brought them back brand new, never worn or even taken out of he box, within the 15 day return window... only to be told I could only get store credit. The other colors in the shoes are on backorder and my size isn't stocked in most shoes, but still, no refund. I'm not a runner, so now I have $130 gift card I'll never use. To make matters worse, one of the employees was a total smart ass and thought it was funny. He mockingly told me I should have read the return policy at the bottom of my receipt. I asked him how often he reads his receipts when shopping and he said "every single time" and laughed. Needless to say, I won't be shopping at a store where all sales are final and employees laugh at the misfortune of others.
They captured how our individual feet moved while running and advised us based on our individual running shoes need. They customized our insoles and explained to us everything we needed to know. More than an hour later of two employees helping us, their prices were very competitive.
My favorite place to buy walking/running shoes and gear. I've received outstanding customer service from Ian (the owner) Cailey, Philip and Theresa. The prices are just as good if not better than the "big box stores" if you take advantage of their loyalty card program (15% discount).
